Why Choose Us For Wisdom Tooth Pain In Acton?

Wisdom tooth pain at night usually comes from a tooth that's impacted, only partly through, or has an infected gum around it. We take X-rays to see the tooth's position, relieve the pain and any infection, and explain whether extraction is needed. If removal is the right option, we agree the plan and cost with you first.

  • Gentle & effective — Modern techniques focused on your comfort from start to finish.
  • Experienced team — Treated by dentists who see this every day.
  • Clear pricing — You know the cost before we begin, no surprises.

“I visited the dental emergency practice after cracking my tooth on a cherry stone (I know... how bad is that!), and I couldn't be more grateful for the care I received. From the moment you call, you're given a five-star experience. The staff are incredibly attentive, polite, and reassuring, making a stressful situation much easier to deal with. Dr. Alizadeh is an absolute gentleman. Despite his young age, he demonstrated exceptional professionalism, genuine care, mindfulness, and, most importantly, outstanding skill. He rebuilt my tooth within just two hours of the accident, which is truly remarkable. While the treatment may seem expensive to some, let's be honest - you can't put a price on receiving such prompt, expert care in an emergency. For me, it was absolutely worth every penny. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone in need of emergency dental treatment. Thank you again team N&DED Acton”

“I cannot recommend Dr Alizadeh, Nurse Rajae, and Receptionist Sara highly enough. From the moment I walked into the practice, I was treated with exceptional kindness, professionalism, and care. Sara at reception was absolutely wonderful. She was welcoming, friendly, and incredibly efficient. I was seen almost immediately upon arrival, which was such a pleasant surprise and instantly put me at ease. Her warm and reassuring manner made what could have been a stressful appointment feel comfortable from the very beginning. Dr Alizadeh was outstanding. I had been extremely nervous about needing a tooth extraction, expecting discomfort and anxiety throughout the procedure. However, Dr Alizadeh took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all of my questions, and made me feel completely confident that I was in safe hands. The extraction itself was genuinely pain-free. I was amazed at how smooth, gentle, and efficient the entire process was. Before I knew it, the tooth was out and I had experienced virtually no pain at all. The level of skill and expertise demonstrated was truly exceptional. Nurse Rajae was equally fantastic. Throughout the appointment, she was attentive, compassionate, and reassuring. Her calm presence helped me relax, and she worked seamlessly alongside Dr Alizadeh to ensure everything went perfectly. It was clear that patient comfort and care are top priorities for the whole team. While I did have to pay for the treatment, I can honestly say it was worth every penny. The quality of care, professionalism, efficiency, and genuine kindness I received far exceeded my expectations. In fact, I left feeling grateful and genuinely happy to have paid for such outstanding treatment. When you receive care of this calibre, it becomes clear that you're investing in expertise, comfort, and peace of mind. Thank you to Dr Alizadeh, Nurse Rajae, and Sara for turning what I expected to be a daunting experience into such a positive one. I would not hesitate to recommend this practice to anyone looking for first-class dental care.”

Wisdom tooth pain FAQs

Common questions about getting this treated at our Acton clinic.

Wisdom teeth often cause pain when they're impacted, partially erupted, or pushing against neighbouring teeth. Infection can also develop in the gum tissue surrounding a wisdom tooth that hasn't fully come through.

If the pain is severe, constant, or accompanied by swelling, difficulty opening your mouth, or a fever, it needs urgent attention. Call our Acton clinic and we'll get you assessed as quickly as possible.

It might ease temporarily, but the underlying problem will still be there and will almost certainly flare up again. Getting it checked sooner rather than later prevents repeated episodes and avoids complications.

It depends on the cause. We may clean and treat an infection around the gum, prescribe antibiotics, or recommend extraction if the tooth is causing ongoing problems. Your dentist will explain every option clearly before starting.

We numb the area fully before we begin, so you won't feel pain during the procedure. There will be some soreness and swelling afterwards, but we'll give you clear aftercare advice to manage your recovery at home.

Most patients feel significantly better within three to five days, with full healing taking a couple of weeks. We'll give you everything you need to know about eating, cleaning, and managing discomfort during recovery.

Not necessarily. If a wisdom tooth has come through fully and isn't causing problems, there's no reason to remove it. We'll take an X-ray at our Acton clinic and only recommend removal if it's genuinely needed.

Go to A&E or call 999 if swelling spreads to your eye or neck, you struggle to breathe or swallow, or you have a high temperature and feel very unwell. If your jaw is swollen and hard to open, call us straight away, as this can be a sign of a dental abscess.
